Tamerat Siltan Tadesse is a visual artist born in 1975 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Addis Ababa University in 1999, establishing a solid foundation for his creative journey. Over an illustrious career spanning two decades, Tamerat’s work has been showcased in 11 solo Exhibitions and more than 70 group exhibitions worldwide, from Ethiopia to Germany, Romania, Cyprus, Serbia, and Italy. His art has graced prestigious events such as the 75th anniversary of the UN, where he was the sole representative from Ethiopia.
He served as the curator of the Red Door Art Gallery and the Fendika Art and Cultural Center in Addis Ababa. In 2020, he founded and organized the first Addis International Art Symposium, a notable event that brought together contemporary artists from 15 countries and in 2023 with 25 artists from 17 countries. His design skills have also been recognized, winning over 25 logo design competitions for major organizations.
